While still in handcuffs they grabbed and threw me into the wall, they also grabbed my hair and slammed my head into the wall. After being searched again I was taken to the Springfield Mall security room where I was held for approximately two hours where they continually told me I was going to prison for life because the gun had ‘murders’ on it. After that I was taken to Fairfax County Police Station where I was placed in an interrogation room and left there handcuffed to the wall. It was extremely cold and I was not offered anything to eat or drink. Every time I was about to doze off someone entered the room to ensure I remained awake.

I was 17 years old at the time and the police did not inform my parent or legal guardian where I was. I was denied my rights by them not permitting me to place a phone call, and was also denied a lawyer. I was forced to sign legal documentation without my parent or legal guardian present. I was forced to confess without my parent or legal guardian present. I was promised that if I signed a confession stating that I had committed the crimes they would release me. Thus, in return, I confessed to the crimes so I could go home just like they had promised. Once I had signed the confession I was put in a squad car and taken to the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Centre. I arrived there at 6:42am Saturday December 11th, 2004. I was held for over 12 hours without speaking to my mother or a lawyer, I was not offered anything to eat or drink and not allowed any sleep. When I spoke with my mother on Sunday she told me she had called the police station between 1:30am - 2:00am to notify them that I had not come home the previous night. That is when she discovered that I was in custody. They refused to tell her ‘why’ and informed her they would call her back. My mother waited up until 3:30am - 4:00am for their call but they never did call her back. After going to sleep she woke up the following morning and checked the caller ID and the answering machine but they had not called.

After obtaining the forceful/coerced/coaxed confession they obtained a warrant to search my bedroom at my mother’s house and confiscated a P-coat, scarf, paint-ball gun and lap-top. All of that is fruit of the poisonous tree as it was an illegal confession that was obtained in the first instance. Also, I have since discovered while I have been incarcerated, that several of my amendments were also violated.

I am asking, and begging, that one of you individuals reading this would be willing to take my case and be my advocate and do for me what I am unable to do for myself. I am in dire need of your assistance please.

On Friday December 10th Friday 2004 at 6:34pm, the police walked up to me while I was in Springfield Mall and surrounded me. At the same time one of the detectives said ‘freeze, don’t move Fairfax County Police’. I was on my cellphone at the time, that’s how I knew the exact time. One of the officers, as well as the detective, then grabbed me and the detective put me in handcuffs without reading me my Miranda rights. I was then taken into an emergency exit hallway and searched; after nothing was found the handcuffs were removed and I was questioned. Once they were satisfied they put me back in handcuffs and informed me they were going to take me home to my mother’s house (my father is dead). I took a deep breath and sighed with relief, that is when my Remington P.22 fell down my pants.
