At the age of 16 I was charged with murder - charged as an adult.
There was no robbery, just an accidental shooting. I was taken by the TBI for questioning and was not permitted to see anyone until I signed a statement that the TBI wrote out. At the time of questioning I was unable to read, so was unaware of what I had signed.
I requested to see my mother but was not permitted to do so until I signed the documents.

The lawyer attended court on Monday February 10 2003, a public defender, he stayed out of contact with me for over a year! When he finally came to see me he told me that my trial was the following day.....
